Photography Workshop for Teens from Rumah Charis: A Day to Snap, Laugh, and Explore!

Today was a special day at the Bird Park, where Leica Store Malaysia ' s children’s workshop, Snap, Laugh & Explore! led by Jessica Cho , unfolded in an environment filled with curiosity and creativity. What made this day even more meaningful for me was sponsoring teens from Rumah Charis 恩惠之家 Children Home to take part in this unique experience.

My personal goal with this sponsorship is rooted in a commitment to social return – a mission to provide meaningful opportunities for those who may not always have access to them. I believe photography has the power to inspire and change perspectives, and this workshop offered the perfect platform for the teens to immerse themselves in something new and exciting.

our approach to guiding the children through the basics of photography was both engaging and playful, ensuring that everyone had a chance to snap, laugh, and explore. The kids got to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Bird Park while learning how to use the camera creatively, capturing their surroundings with fresh eyes.

This initiative is part of my broader objective and personal commitment to give back to the community through projects and opportunities that empower others. I hope this workshop has sparked a love for photography in these teens, and I look forward to seeing how they continue to explore their creative talents.

This opportunity allowed me to combine my professional responsibilities with a personal goal close to my heart. As part of my return to social initiative, sponsoring these kids was a way to give back to the community, providing them with a chance to explore the art of photography. It was incredibly rewarding to see them learn, engage, and discover new perspectives through the camera lens.

The day felt like a perfect balance of purpose—professionally and personally.
